I experienced the separation in life. When I was in elementary school, I joined the swimming team at that time. One of our couches is a kind woman. She not only trained us but also was concerned about us. We all respect her. She was married and her husband is also a good swimmer. He had a smiling face and looked gentle. Though he didn’t couch us, he still came to the pool every day for cleaning the pool, so that we could have good surroundings to practice.

 In my sixth grade, a typhoon struck Taiwan. It caused massive damage. Every where you could see is water; everything you could imagine was floating. You could go no where because water might drown you. A couple of days later, the Typhoon was away and everything was back to normal. We should go back to school of course. Not until I went did I know that my couch’s husband was drown during those days because He was trying to save people in the basement filled with water.

  All of us attended his funeral. We saw our couch broke down, but didn’t know how to console her. Sometimes we take everything around us for granted. That’s because we haven’t experienced any loss. Only when you suffer a big loss do you know how to cherish the life you live now.

I want to improve my English speaking ability. I had an opportunity in contact with some students and teachers from New Jersey yesterday. Not until that day did I know that my English is not fluent. Since my uncle is an immigrant who lives in Chile, I still didn’t learn enough English from them. It’s a pity that I didn’t put to use it well. So I want to improve my English! My cousin told me that listening to English songs is a good way to learn so is watching movies with English subtitle. Now that I know the tips, I’ll work on it actively. I hope next time when I meet foreigners; I can talk to them.

  I have always wondered the real meaning of” happiness” After seeing the movie named” The pursuit of happiness” which stared by William Smith. I still can’t understand the idea of this word is.

  Happiness can be different among many people. One may think that wealth is the most important thing in life. Another may care about relationship with others. Still another may consider delicacies to be all of his or her life. But what’s for me? What is the thing I really care about? I couldn’t tell!

  I always think that even if I pursue happiness, it won’t last forever. Sometimes avidity will eliminate happiness and turn it into misfortune. It is just like that two lovers may eventually become enemies if they couldn’t get along well. It is terrible for me to face such changes like that. What on earth does happiness really mean? Is it good or bad?

I’m in the amusement park playing merry-go-round!! I’m riding a tiger!! Although it was a cold day,  I’m still looking forward to the day I have planed for days. This is the amusement park which is the theme of a famous cartoon character-櫻桃小丸子. In that park, all the things are related to the main character and her family, her friends. We can take a picture with the characters which is made of cardboard. We can also drawing with sands which have many kinds of colors and play some traditional Japanese game which can be found in shrine, such as fishing in the small pool, wishing for New Year’s resolution in Japanese way… etc. It was a great day I have ever had in this year’s winter vacation.

  It is twenty five years later. I become an English teacher who teaches grammar. One day I was teaching the new class. I found some of the students were nodding off. Stuck in this awkward situation, I was in a dilemma. Should I wake the up angrily or should I just ignore them? On second thought, I choose to leave them alone. However, while I was teaching, there were more and more students falling asleep. I was so upset that I couldn’t put up with it anymore. I decide to awaken them from my thunder voice…

  “Wake up!  ” I thundered it out loud. Meanwhile, the voice didn’t sound like my own. “Wake up!  ” the voice thundered again and the voice was so familiar that I finally recognized that it was my English teacher’s voice. As soon as I was aware of this, I knew I was sound asleep. It was embarrassing!

  Not until my dream did I realize how the teacher felt when she saw students nod off in class. Therefore, I made up my mind to be an attentive student and never fall a sleep in class any more.

 Tony was prepared for the serious scolding by his mother. He knew he deserved it. But as soon as he got home, surprisingly, his pet was sitting peacefully on the stair, waving tail to welcome its new master home. Tony burst out crying again, but with happiness this time. He promised himself not to be so careless again.

 Candy is a shy girl. She is afraid of talking to anyone. For this reason, she doesn’t have friends to play with. One day, she was rolling the ball by herself in the park. A kitten came and played with her. So she decided to bring the cutie cat home. Fortunately, her mother agreed without hesitation. 

  Before long, Candy’s birthday is coming. She wanted to hold a party, but didn’t have any friends to invite. Meanwhile, it occurred to her that she could invite all the cats in the park and lead them home. 

  It was the most mess party Candy had ever seen those cats were too naughty to be housetrained. While the cats were scratching the sofa, the others were just smashing the lamp. What was worse, they left dirty footprints and eaten fish bones on the floor. Though, Candy had to clean up all the mess at the end of the party. She was glad that the party this year was not as quiet as before.

  My sister is not a good comforter. Everytime I was crying or upset, she laughed at me or said” What are you crying for? ” though she always makes me down, I know she just doesn’t know how to show her love. When I overused my allowance and didn’t have money for the meal next day. She scolded me seriously. However, she always put some money on the table at night when I was sleeping. That is the way my sister shows her love toward me.

  My father always says that my sister is silly but never plays tricks on people. We can count on her because she is dependable. Don’t worry she’ll set you up, but worry someone will set her up. That is my sister, not mature enough to be an adult, but old enough to be responsible for everything.
